Control your music from your desktop
The "All-in-one Player" is a simple "skin" for the program Rainmeter. Rainmeter is a program that enables developers to program skins. These skins can display interactive images, text, buttons and other things on the desktop of a Windows computer. For example, the program can be used to show the battery status of your laptop, the ETA of your downloads, or even the weather report, right on your desktop.
This "skin", as it is called at the Rainmeter-site and community, shows the current song that is being played in a music program of the user. The user can navigate through music, and pause or play the music anytime.
This skin currently supports the following music programs:
iTunes, WMP, AIMP, MediaMonkey, foobar2000, Zune, Media Player Classic
Fully personalized library interface
The Strix, is a smart personal bibliotheca. The system itself is set in a small room inside the library, which gives the feeling of a hallway. As soon as you open the door you scan your card on a small device on your right. The environment you find yourself in is all equipped with context aware screens, which function according to your movement. Thousands of books will be displayed all around, recommended to you depending on your own profile without the need of any input. They will be divided in categories, providing you an optional description and code. When you come closer to the screens, books will filter even more specifically according to your personal information, which will also be updated every time you use the system. Additionally, when you pass by they will scroll autonomously. The system itself will adapt depending on the rooms state.
